Marine salvage / boat junk yard needed

I have a friend who needs to get rid of a motor. It's a 2013 yamaha 250 SHO that has been severely overheated. I'm talking wires & plastic is melted under the cowling. Motor only had 60 hrs on it too. Basically he got stuck on a mud flat in reggio & smoked the motor trying to get unstuck. He wants to keep the cowling, ECU & lower unit. He will take $500 for the motor minus he 3 items mentioned previously. As far as he is concerned it's not cost effective to repair the motor so he is just selling it for parts or scrap. The motor is in Chalmette right now & if I can't find anyone to buy it by this friday I'm gonna go pick it up & bring it back to my house.
Anyone interested or know anyone who might want to buy it for parts?

Damn that's a badass motor he ruined. I'm guessing insurance is getting him a new one?

yes new motor is already on the boat. He is keeping the cowling & lower unit as backups & gonna take that ECU & have it flashed to 300 HP...
Even though it got really hot, there have got to be some parts on it that are worth a few bucks.

take it completely apart and sell the good individual pieces on ebay.

That is a good idea but i just don't have time for that mess.
There is money to be made by doing that but I'm just way too busy.
