The trails are rutted up that you need to grab the oh shite bar when you start riding crab ways on the side of a cliff. Made it up to nearly 11,000 ft in my jeep today. The farthest any fresh tracks had been. Would have pushed it further but there was no winch off point and I would have had to rotate the tires hard up to a cement crossing. Was worried about blasting a tire with a long walk down.

Now it is dumping snow here now. The trials will be phenomenal tomorrow.

It gets interesting Jeeping up here this time of year. The soil has tons of clay in in it. With the snow melting it means all the trails are basically miles and miles of uphill mud runs. You want to find the rutted ones because being first tracks on a sloped trail (which most are in CO) you may find yourself going sideways in undesirable directions. Especially going back down. I've winched off before to keep from sliding down a cliff trying to come down a steep clay trail. It definitely gets the blood flowing. We had a game warden slide off one of my favorite trails last October.

Trail we hit yesterday was deeply rutted. Perfect conditions. We easily made it up to the snowline. Only about 3 butt clinching moments.

I saw lots of diff drag marks so whoever has been running the trails was most likely running 33's or smaller.
