Louisiana CHP - Payment Question

I have all if my stuff ready and am going to LSP HQ tomorrow to get fingerprinted and turn in my app for my CHP. Does anyone know who to make the money orders out to? I know I can call them tomorrow, but I'm going to swing by the store tonight to get then in order.

I got mine at Winn Dixie and they left that part blank. The lady at the counter at the lsp headquarters can fill it out for you or tell you what to put. You'll need two separate money orders. $125 and $10.
If you need something to put in that blank, go to the lsp website. It states who to make it out to there.

Yes. It used to be 4 years , now it is 5.

i think you will need two
one for $150 for the permit
one for $10 for the finger prints.
also you dont havevto make out the money order when you buy it... you can do that when you get to LSP.... so they will tell you what to make it out to.

it is $150 now... they didnt go up on the price... they just added an extra year...
only have to renew every 5 years now

I just turned mine in 2 weeks ago at the headquarters. Unless it's changed in the last 2 weeks it's 125 for the permit and 10 for fingerprints. Just check the website and the application, it spells it out for you.

No. I was told by others that when turning in the application in person, it would take 2-3 weeks. With the holidays, I expect it to take a bit longer. They tell you up to 90 days at the counter.

$125 for five years. (If you're 65 or older, the fee drops to $62.50). Payable by MO. No personal checks, no cash.
Fingerprinting, if done at LSP HQ (and that's where you should hav it done) will cost $10. Separate MO. No cash, no personal check.
