Put out cameras two weeks ago, one had 11 pics another 22 after a week, all does. Checked cams again yesterday, 27 on the first cam and 44 on the second. I haven't seen a single buck yet, thoughts? I here that they may stay hidden for awhile until weather changes, just wondering if anybody has had this type of experience. I know its great to leave the ladies coming in as it will attract the boys eventually, just wanting some feedback, thoughts, what can I do different. We are feeding corn and soybeans, rice bran.

I wouldn't worry about it.

Right now, I have some stands that are covered up in bucks and some that are getting mostly pictures of does. I find we get way more pictures of bucks in thicker woods with just a pile of rice bran other than a feeder.

I haven't been getting shite on 5 cameras in the last month except that hog. Checked them yesterday and I'm finally starting to see a few small bucks, does and yearlings.

in the last 5 weeks i have one 8 point and an alligator. i guess they aren't use to my new stand and feeder Yesterday I saw some tracks leading to the ridge where my stand/feeder is but none of my 3 cameras picked up any deer.

we developed a new food plot at the beginning of last season. We began feeding deer rice bran and corn midsummer and the deer activity was unbelievable. My uncle then decides to put a feeder out there. We saw little activity there the remainder of the year

Well mine is a trough feeder, not a thrower. Plastic 55gal drum cut in 1/2 with a small roof over it. Some of the other guys on the lease use them. Not sure what else to use besides PVC on trees. Its swamp so i cant really plant anything.

SeaPickle....me too swamp-we have 2 55 gal auto feeders, 2 5 gal auto feeders, Im putting out piles of rice bran in transition area, or what I think are trans areas to track movements or see if I can find where they are moving to and from. I have some pvc feeders that I can use, but the coons like those too much

Is a feeder off the ground with a roof necessary for the rice bran or can you just make a pile of it on the ground and be good?

I dump mine on the ground, and they tear it up.

Good to know. I've got a trough feeder but didnt really wanna drag it all the way out there just to scare the deer off. I've always liked putting my corn on the ground more than feeders anyway. It just seemed more natural even if the food isn't

Put four cameras out. Lots of does. Only had buck in one field. Not sure if last pic is same buck. Just dumped corn on the ground. Pics taken in Monroe County, AL

i dont know thats why i posted it on the wise OB
i also have a few piles of food in the ground on the entrances to the levee. each has its own camera so i guess we will see what gets more action.
I chose to put the drum to hold a decent amount of food with out it spoiling on the ground. The soy beans i put on the ground have sprouted or grown some mold and stink real bad. The trough beans havent "spoiled" (yes there is corn in the pictures but that was taken before the beans)I could simply dump all the food on the ground. What do yall think is better? This is my current set up. Its sill new (about 3-4 weeks) that i've had the trough up in the area
