Lost my 11 year yellow lab this morning around 4:00. Had a tumor in his throat and just suffocated. Was fine yesterday and in a matter of 24 hours it was done. Was more attached to "Pick" than any of my previous labs. Next Wednesday is dedicated to him.

Sorry to hear that. I almost lost my 12 yo last week, and know we are on borrowed time right now.

I knew it would be hard eventually but shite having to hold him while he passed then load him into my truck to take him away just killed me. Thank god I know a vet and I brought him there. I couldn't stand just looking at him laying there anymore.

Damn good dog and picked up a shite ton of ducks

I was just telling my family when our 3 year old lab, Boudreaux, passes some day I will breakdown.

Sorry for your loss man. They're great dogs and even better companions.

I remember losing my 11 yo Golden Retriever, she had sudden congestive heart failure and died in my arms. Best dog I ever had. My boys would ride her like a horse, and the neighborhood kids would come over and ask if she could come out and play. I cried like a baby, so I know what you are feeling.
