Our faithful Chocolate Lab "Cadi" passed away yesterday morning after 14 years. We had made the decision on Friday that we were going to take the weekend to say good bye and bring her in to the Vet today to have her put down. Found her in the living room floor when we got home from church yesterday morning.

She's not suffering anymore, but it doesn't make it any easier. Worst part was watching my two boys tell her good bye.

I truly hate to hear that. The best condolences are that it sounds like she had a long and loving life.

Prayers sent.

Sorry for your loss. There aren't too many things worse than losing a faithful friend who loves you unconditionally. Prayers to you and your family.

One of the hardest things I've ever had to endure was putting down my dog. I know that agony and pain...

Dammit. I hate it every time I hear this. I know how you feel and I wouldn't wish that on anybody.

You will never replace that dog. But a new puppy is the best medicine in the world. It does wonders to take away the sads.

I lost my chocolate after 13 years in May. Haven't been able to stomach the thought of another dog to this point. but they both lived long and healthy lives and know they were loved. When they are ready to go they go...but damn it hurts.

Man it's so hard to loose them. Haven't had to do it with kids yet but I still miss mine every day, many years later.

Prayers to your family.
