Mine is giving out. Gave no thought to it when bought years ago. Need to cut some biggish branches. Looking for recommendations. otherwise I'll just buy whatever Sam's has right now.

I don't know what brand name I have but it's got two hinges like a pair of bolt cutters. When they're sharp, I can cut 1 1/2" branch easily. Bought them at lowes a few years back.

Use some of that money you're saving with the Sr. citizen discount and go buy you a small chainsaw

For a something that walmart sells, I've been very impressed with Fiskars. I have 2 pair of their loppers, 2 brush axes and a splitting axe. The loppers are great for what they cost BTW.

Does Kroger sell chainsaws now?

I was hoping you'd have bought them at Lowes...but I guess I am a little bias...hehe

Fiskars did a great job with their pruning tool lineup. It's all made in China/Taiwan, but the engineering is really good and the patents are pretty solid...

We have tested 100s of loppers and the gear drive was by far the best performing lopper being made today.

will be purchased today.

Home Depot is closer to my house and office than Lowes, so I ran by there this weekend. Their loppers are displayed outside. Most were rusted. no thanks.
