they are pretty easy to deal with. I water and fertilize as needed. If it rains a good bit I don't even water mine. Didn't get anything edible the first year, the second year mine blew up with limes.

My parents have had one at the house for a few years now, and it produces very nice limes. Like said, water and fertilize on the reg and it should do alright. Not a problem in S. LA, but keep an eye out for bugs and deal with them accordingly.

did you plant it or pot it? if planted, do you just cover it when it freezes?

Also, did you buy it locally?

Thanks

Ours was bought locally at a decent size and planted in the ground. As for covering, I'm not sure what they do but I cant seem to remember them every covering it during a freeze.

I have one in a pot. Got it at Home Depot about 2 years ago. Bought it as meyer lemon but turned out to be limes. In winter I throw some christmas lights on it to keep it warm or pull it in if it gets real cold.

I have mine in the ground. planted on the south side of my house to block from the North wind in the winter. Never had a problem with it.
