Hey Guys,
Any of you have LED lights on your boat or trailer or both? I am looking into putting some on my bass boat. I have looked at Blue water & Rigid Industries. Any experiences with these? Or there some others out there you may have used and liked?
TIA

Nilite on amazon is a cheap brand that works extremely well.
Idk if they make what you need though.

I have LED rope light in the boat but I still use the ole Qbeam when running. I don't have any on the trailer other than the tail lights but have flush mounted two rigid D2HD's into my back bumper. Wired them into my reverse lights and they will light up a boat ramp.

I put LED taillights from Harbor Freight on my boat trailer and I'm happy with them.

i ran 4 red bluewater leds in my xpress. never had an issue.
I now have 4 blue in my frontier but not sure of the brand. Dealer installed them and the trailer is all LED but no extra backup lighting

Ditto, no issues with mine either.

I found some cheap LED tail lights on Amazon after getting tired of replacing lights what seemed like every other trip. Been on there for 2 years with no issues.
I will throw this in there about extra lights on the trailer, a buddy of mine bought a fancy bass boat with some sort of running lights under the trailer and was ticketed for them not be "DOT approved lighting"
The cop must've been a real dick, but just be careful. He said the trailer came with the lights installed.

I upgraded to LED on the trailer years ago and they've worked fine ever since.
Every light on the boat is LED, but that's because I do a lot of night fishing and like the low voltage. Last week I updated the under gunwale LEDs on my boat with some I found on THT.
I ran wall-to-wall lights with no extension cables except to get from the console to the gunwale. Meaning, I basically put 55 feet of lights under the gunwale. That was a little taxing on the one control box that came with the lights, so I ran the starboard lights off the controller that came with the lights, and I ran the port lights off of an RGB amplifier. Both the controller and the amplifier are in the console of the boat. This allowed me to get the same brightness that you would have with a 25 foot run of lights with my 55+ feet of lights.
Here's the amplifier I used... they can be bought online for less than six bucks with free shipping.
Contenders have a small piece of molding along the bottom of the gunwale with a stainless screw about every 12 -14 inches. By removing the factory screw and replacing with an identical screw 1/4-inch longer, we could through-bolt a mounting hole cable tie and secure the lights with the zip tie at the bottom edge of the gunwale. This made for a consistent light/shadow line throughout the boat.
