Any reports coming in yet? They should be thick right now.

Water not salty enough yet,

Haven't heard a peep from the few that pursue them....

But this should be a good year

As for thick. They have only been thick a handful of times in my lifetime

With any luck they will remain silent. I made that mistake one time. I'm not saying a word about tarpon ever again.

yeah this sighting is on social media though....

big dummy

it's not in the area where i know they are.

i still love the atom splitters that know it all about them and then spout off that they come into the lake to spawn....

saw about an 80lber freejump sat morning where they show up RIGHT before they make it to Lake P

was unmistakeable - was like a giant flash bulb going off when he cleared the water.

I was thinking of going out of Empire and look for them.

I never have caught one.

What do you do? just troll and hope to find them? What to look for?

seeing them roll(gulp) or free jump means they are in the area and active.

rolling is not feeding although if you present a bait if front of them - they may hit it.

find the pogies and mullet getting chased is a good start....

blind trolling where you know they are - is best bet...

if you see them feeding cast to them.

I heard someone on saturday - say they quit coming to Lake P because the "holes" filled in..... if those fish can tell the holes filled in 96 miles inshore - we have plenty more to learn about fish...

they follow water temps they like AND forage... it's that simple.

the mullets went nuts when the one jumped sat... he wasn't the only one.. there by no means....

didn't have the right stuff with us to mess with them...

going back soon.

again....
