Boxstands are covered with them and wasp in the afternoon. Other than that, hadn't seen em anywhere else.

They are great for controlling garden insects or so Ive heard. I could never bring myself to squashing one. My shed for some reason is full of them.

Assuming you're talking about the orange ones. Those are Asian beetles and I'm pretty sure they're the spawn of Satan. I hate them. They stink, bite, are everywhere, and I recently read they will latch on to the roof of dogs and cats mouths and cause lots of problems. I was getting them in my house last year so I went to Walmart and bought a couple cans of Bengal and sprayed all the base boards and ceiling molding, especially around the doors and windows and they disappeared or died. I'll be doing that again this weekend.

I hate them SOB's. I can't park under my carport. If I do, they get all up in the door ways by the millions. For some reason, they love white.

They're actually good to have in the garden and trees. They eat mites that cause damage to plants. You can actually order them online. Check out Amazon.com

Pretty sure you are right, they look a lot like lady bugs, but are actually an Asian species. The color is slightly different, and the size of the spots also. side by side, you can see the difference.

Eh tend to pile up in certain spots during the winter. The MiL's pump house was chock full of them.
