So last night I was rinsing off some oatmeal from some bowls before putting them in the dishwasher. Our faucet is one of those that has the sprayer integrated into the spout, and you can pull it down and out of the arm to spray with. I pull, it is stuck, I look under the sink, slide it forward off of a pipe, and pull it down. When I'm almost done I push it back up into the arm, and the water quits coming out of it and I hear spray under the sink.

It is a one-hole unit where hot and cold lines hook in, and then go through a connection that has the hose going up and into the arm. That hose got pinched on something and has a split in it. I need to repair or replace it, but my searches at home depot and lowes websites is coming up short. I'm trying to avoid buying a new faucet at this point.

It looks very similar to this Price Pfister model.

Any ideas?

If you have the hose that split, maybe a part number? and the manufacturer of your fixture, you might give Coburn's a call, describe what happened and see if they can help. They have a retail counter where you can go in and buy what you need or at least talk to some guys behind the counter there.

I'll check when I get home from work. This was around 11 last night after an extremely long day, so I just cut the water off under the sink and left it. And I know I put this one in before Easter in either 2009 or 2010. So no idea who makes it unless there is something underneath. And the only reason I remember it was before Easter was I sliced my fingers open installing it and had to have stitches in two of them. Got some great Easter pics with my gauzed up left hand from that year.

Sorry, I just noticed that. Look for a similar plumbing supply shop in Birmingham.

If you do this, make them believe you bought the product from them originally. Whatever you do, do not let them know or believe that you got it at HD or Lowes. If you do, you might as well ask them to allow you to "probe" them with the hose.

Is that what y'all do for fun in Louisiana?

I know my wife bought it online from somewhere way back. It wasn't a big box store.

Nope, well not in my circle of friends anyway, but my experience with Coburns and LCR is that they treat you like crap if you even discuss products from anyone but a "specialty" company like them.

Glad to hear you're steering clear of the Aggies.
