Best place with a strong wind? West cove?

West Cove marsh is closed right now due to duck season, so about your only option there is to go out into the cove and look for specs.

I have all my stuff loaded after a failed Cypremort Point trip today and am thinking hard about Choupique in the morning but 10+ winds will suck. Probably just going to sleep.

Choupique or the oyster flats west of spicers are probably most protected but honestly the lake isnt very forgiving weather wise.

Thanks. I put in at spicers and boated 2 flounder and a red and "released" a few more before I could get the net on them. Is the yak launch for choupique bayou that small bridge a couple miles before spicers? First time launching in that area.

Yes it's like a mile or two before you get to the intracoastal. On your right.

Yea that's it, there's a drop box for the $2 launch fee. I just left, ended up with 3 reds.
