Literally anywhere south of Houma. PAC, Dulac Cocodrie...... you can even launch behind the fire station and fish for perch too.

No nothing about that area although I've heard good things.
I've been thinking of possibly getting into kayaks too. I would launch at the Sandpiper launch, cross the Petit, drag the yak over the levee and fish all the tribe you can access. Would save you lots of time and be safer.
The Sandpiper is great and inexpensive if you plan a multi day trip.

Seems like you would have to paddle a ways going out of dulac or cocodrie.

You can launch just about anywheres off the roadside in any of the crossroads. We use to do it often with piroques in my younger years.

Google the Reel Inn in Dularge, there is a private red gate about a 1/4 mile before it and it is a 100 yard paddle till you are on fish. The owner sells keys to the gate for $25 and it is super worth it.

Caught my first red fish on a fly rod last year about this time 20 yards to the right of the main channel.
