Jr. finally got his first buck

I had all but given up on SCjr getting a deer. I-phones and Xbox ruined him from wanting to hunt (thought it was too boring, even though he either stayed glued to the phone or slept in the stand). He killed a couple of hogs early in his career, but then missed on a couple of deer and got discouraged.
This year's been a complete turnaround and he has been determined to kill a deer. During the cold snap before Thanksgiving we sat several hours, and even though he hadn't ever killed a deer, he would not shoot a doe. Waiting finally paid off and he made an excellent 120 yard shot with a .270.
He's anxious to go back this weekend and it looks like we'll have some more cool weather.
Needless to say, I'm proud.

Good deal man. Nice to see he managed to break away from the grasp of electronics.
I get sad when I think of how attached my nephews are attached to their devices. Of course their parents don't put any time restrictions on using said devices

Not a bad thing. It is important to escape all of the technology though. Nothing quite like waking up early and going hunting or fishing.
