All I heard was from a guy hunting in general area, said it was a 19 y/o and was deer hunting. Haven't heard anything else

Did a little scouting when I got done and there's good sign everywhere. Big Ol scrapes and hooking everywhere.

I told a guy last night that he needed to put one in his stand. Now everybody's gonna think I got the idea from here

We used to have an old truck mirror screwed on the outside of the stand but someone either shot it with a BB gun or threw a rock and broke it.

It works great. You will see a lot more deer this way than turning your head back and forth.

Back at it this afternoon in a different stand.
It's been raining off and on since around 10 here in Simsboro.
I'm in a box stand back in the woods that hasn't been hunted since the youth hunt. There was a nice scrape 60 yards from the stand on the old logging road coming in that's in plain sight.
It looks like it was freshened up today. What are the odds that the buck visits again before dark?

Back again meat hunt. Too hot, should have stayed in the AC. Farmers cutting cane on edge of swamp. Hopefully gets them moving. If I can't catch a deer slipping might as well catch a buzz
Got pics of this guy hanging out for a few hours just after dark for the last few days (time is an hour fast)

Lady bugs suck. But the red wasps in my stand are messing up my hunt big time

Anybody know of some kind of juice I could add to my thermocell to repel lady bugs? They're everywhere

Put some vagasil on the blue tab and let it burn off
The plethora of lizards posted on my stands keeps the bugs in check. Not one all season

They wouldn't bother me if they didn't stink so damn bad. I can't move without squashing one.

Just had a decent buck cross at the farthest point and most narrow of my shooting lane.

By the time I got my gun up,he was gone. I guess they do move in the rain, because it's coming down pretty good right now.
