Just dropped my kid off at his stand in the woods with his little 44 mag.

We're looking to get some meat for the freezer this weekend. Anything but a fawn will get shot if it steps out.

Wish I would see 2 does at 80 yards. I'm aching to get my first kill with this 35. I'm shooting some 200 grain round-nosed bullets my dad hand loaded for me.

2 more does and a fawn. Dumb mama doe blew at me 15 yds away in a thicket downwind then walked right under my 10ft tripod and looked straight at me then kept walking with her baby. Never had a deer blow at me then walk underneath my stand downwind.

Would have shot her but she had a little fawn.

Good call. We have one doe with twin fawns and another doe with a single fawn. Have to watch out carefully

My feet got a little nippy so I cranked on the heater to warm them up. I accidentally singed the hair off one leg. Hope the deer don't smell it.

Still spots? We have some at the lease with spots as well. If no spots and they are eating by them selves, I will consider a shot on the big doe.

Back in office wishing I was on a stand - Work all day then some PBS football then heading to camp - I will be there early am with you guys.
