Heading to the blind now. Going to probably sit in a power alley and scout a pond from a distance. Season doesn't open till tomorrow.

68 - a little windy

Just stuck a nice heavy horned marsh buck. Shot was a little high but I think it was still a descent shot. Watched him run about 125 yds into some thick grass.

Going to wait an hour or so and see if I can find him.

I've missed these threads so much, I'm so glad the season is upon us again. Can't now hunt this season, having shoulder surgery in a few weeks. Hoping I can handle the rifle mid November. I will live vicariously through this board.

Good luck out there fellas and stay safe.

Nothing much this morning. . Had a group of deer pass through from the cotton field at first shooting light but never saw them....only heard them moving through the ticket.

No luck on recovery from last night. .. getting back on her now.

Had on small doe walk out about 0800.
Instead of walking around tomorrow morning, I'm coming sit this stand and pick off the tree rats. Could've had my limit 30 minutes after sunup.
