What brand do you have and where did you get them?

Mine are Lacrosse brand, and I believe I got them from Security Sporting Goods in ellik.

can't say I would get insulated on my next round, though, as they are just too hot for a large percent of the time I want to wear them.

If you live in Louisiana, you do not need insulated hip boots.

I cant really think of any reason anyone would need insulated hip boots. Just get a good pair of insulated waders.

I have the Lacrosse Big Chiefs. They work great. If it gets too cold for them, I put my waders on.

CajunC,I disagree. I am currently wearing lacross big chief 600g. Ordered off amazon last month. I also have insulated waders.
My lease is flooded cypress and can range from ankle to hip deep. The 50 yard walk to my stand today was no deeper than knee deep. Waders would be overkill. Not to mention the 1 mile walk on dry ground that I'd sweat my arse off in insulated Waders. I only wear Waders when in the deep areas. 95% of hunters in my area wear insulated hip boots

I see your point pickle.

I never thought about it in a deer hunting application. Nor do I deer hunt in the swamps or flooded lands. When I wear my hip boots its for a short walk down a rice field levee. If I'm headed to the marsh or timber, it's waders every time. Never know when you're gonna sink to your hips

All bullshite aside, OP asked "What brand do you have and where did you get them?"
That's a pretty straightforward answer if you ask me.

Now, OP, to answer your question. I got my Lacrosse hip boots from Pierre part store

I am deer hunting in a situation like seapickle. Long walk with occasional slough to cross. Chest waders are just too hot. Uninsulated hip boots freeze your feet off. Prolly going to Security in ellick today to see what they have. Banded Gear looks like they have a good pair but everywhere is out of stock online

You have got to check out the new insulated breathable's. They are expensive but they are badass and feel just like you are wearing a pair of Bib's. I went with the Banded and a buddy bought the Drakes. Best money I have ever spent.

Check out a local co-op or farm store, too. I like lacrosse, currently have non-insulated big chiefs. They're getting cheaper though, easier to rip than the older ones. fyi.

Lacrosse also makes/made some "irrigation" boots that were shorter than hip boots but taller than knee boots. fyi.

My short arse went the "hybrid" route and got some insulated marsh pants. Haven't hunted with em yet, though.

That's not a bad idea if I didn't already have waders and hip boots
