Option A) Ariat. $483 plus shipping

Option B) Justin $380 plus shipping. Not crazy about the green but that'll be covered with pants

Option C) other. Ostrich full quill with brown bottom in the 3-5 price range, both of these are on sale and I'm a bargain hunter.

You should really take a look at Anderson Bean boots before you buy!

At least check out what Luccheses they have on Amazon. I did a quick search and you probably can't get full quill under 599, but I've gotten a few pairs of Lucchese classics from Amazon for ridiculous (200-400 instead of 600-800) prices.

A lot of times they've got just a handful of sizes, but the deals are good enough to keep an eye on if interested.

Neither....make a trip to Mexico with that $500 and buy three pair of hand made better quaility than our store bought, have a shot of Tequila and head home. Much cheaper prices. Been making an annual or bi annual trip for years.

This is good information. I'm leaning towards those because they're onviously a better looking boot. I haven't been able to find any lucchese on sale

What part of Mexico? I've been thinking about doing just that.

ETA: I'm thinking about Nuevo Progreso, but any opinions are welcome.

I have 2 pair of Ariats and they are both really comfortable. If you happen upon a pair of Luchesse's, be sure you try them on- My experience is that they run a little narrow.

I feel like roper heel looks more like a work boot. Would look weird on exotics.

Sure if you add it to a cowboy style exotic.

If it is a roper in an exotic, I think it is fine. That said, ostrich is the only exotic roper I have or would be interested in.

Ariats 100%

I'd wear them before my tennis shoes
