I have a walk behind gravely in 34".

It's a beast. I've had it since 2011. No issues yet.
I have a toro rear tine tiller. It is not the most robust machine.

I've used my uncles gravely and it's fantastic.. Pretty sure it had an 18 HP Kawasaki on it.. Everything was welded on it and it just felt like a solid machine.. Can't go wrong with a toro either though

I purchased the Gravely ZT34 before last summer and it has been terrific. It performs like it is suppose to and is a perfect size for a corner residential lot that I live on.

Have a Gravely and have no complaints. Not the beast a Scag is but is a solid machine.

If you're from the NOLA area what dealership did you go through?

Stamped deck and bushings in the front spindles instead of bearings. Asking for issues IMO.

What's the retail on that Gravely?

I've seen it anywheres from 2200-2600 online

The toro looks awesome as well but it's almost a grand more

Working on a cub cadet is a MFer... I do some small engine work with my dad and cringe every time I see them... Can't say that I've dealt with any of their zero turns though

I have gravely pro compact 34. It's a solid mower. Have 600 hrs on it and haven't even replaced a belt.

I've got a Gravely 42" ZT with the Kawasaki motor, stamped deck. I bought it in 2011 for 2500-2600ish.

It's got 140 hrs on it and I'd probably buy it again.

Everything I've read says that the gravely line is very reliable and well built... Can't wait to get my hands on one..

If it doesn't have to be exactly 34, check out the Hustler Raptor 36". Welded deck and under $3k.

My only advice is to make sure the mower you purchase is equipped with either a Kohler or Kawasaki engine. Stay away from Briggs and other engine types.

Dixon doesn't exist any more. Well sort of... Dixon was bought by Husqvarna who also owns Jonsered. They rebranded the Dixon models as Jonsered. They are still currently using the same parts and designs that Dixon was using but who knows how long that will last. I'd steer clear of those models until they figure that out.

BTW, I own a Dixon 46" SpeedZTR and it's great for what it is.
