In that range see if you can find a used 5.0 f150. Try and steer away from a 5.4 f150 I've had numerous 5.4'sand now loving the 5.0

I have a newer (2014) ram 1500 crew cab - it is the blackout express edition, 4x4. I haven't had any issues, the Hemi pushes it pretty good as well. If I was buying used I would probably stay in 4th Gen which would be 2009 and up.

I had good luck with 3 Ram Quad cabs. My most recent was 2010, very comfortable, decent factory radio, cold A/C. I had the small 4.7 V-8 with approx 300 horsepower. It was adequate and returned decent mileage. I had a hemi in an earlier model with 20 inch wheels...it rode rough and got 15 mpg on the highway. I understand the newer hemi does much better re mpg. Never had any major problems with any of them and ran up over 100K on all 3.

I recommend a GMC because you can find a well kept 07 or newer for that price and it's practically indistinguishable from the newer models.

I bought my first Tundra on Friday and I'm loving it right now. Get a tundra.
