I'm looking to install some sliding rails and drawers in my cabinets for pots, pans, tupperware, etc. All the rails I'm finding need to be mounted to the side walls of the cabinet but my cabinets are all open with no walls to attach them to. They need to be installed into the shelf that the items sit on. Any suggestions?

They make under mount drawer slides. Or you could just attach a strip of wood to the shelf that acts as a side wall to attach the slides to. Like two inches tall.

You can use some full extension slides and mount them on the underside of the drawers.

Are you located in BR? If so go to Service Lumber on Buena Vista. That's our sister company and we carry undermount slides. That'll be your only option if you have an open cabinet like you say with no partitions.

Building the cabinet box/tray that you'll go with is a tad more complicated, but it's not real bad. Pretty much just have to a half inch of space between the bottom of the sides and the drawer bottom.

They are stocking mostly KV, and have some Blum and Salice left. The KV are the main stock and they carry 15", 18" and 21" there. The Blum and Salice are just in 21".

They make brackets that screw into the wall at the back of the cabinet and the drawer slide then slides into the bracket. These can be made of plastic if you are using bottom mount, European style drawer slides or metal if you are using heavier duty, ball bearing drawer slides.

Lowe's sells a brand of slides and brackets called Richlieu(Sp?) that I have used and like.
