MSA Sordin Supreme Pro with Gel Seals
These are some of the best out there and they're extremely comfortable. Regular $275, don't know what the discount will be. I'll snatch a pair at 11
edit : $198

Just buy the $30 ones from Walmart. They work great. They amplify the sound around you so much you can hear mosquitoes flying around from 10' away.

Do you go deaf when these things fail and u fire ur rifle?

Deaf? They have amplification adjustments for each ear. They block out any sharp sounds like a clap our a shot.
I wore mine yesterday and went thru about 200 rounds with my AR.

I personally wouldn't pay that for electronic hearing protection. I bought an electronic pair last year for the first time for less than $100 and they are comfortable enough. The problem that I have with them is that I forget to turn them off after I'm done shooting and the batteries are dead next time I go. I always carry extra batteries in my shooting bag for this reason.

Gel vs foam (foam becomes torture after a while. You can wear the gel all day)
Better audio clarity
Water resistant
Accommodates glasses and helmets comfortably
Auxiliary jack
Battery life

This times a million. Ive use the caldwell electronic muffs and the peltor(cheaper models). Neither come close to the MSA Sordins. The other ones work fine, but these are the shite. I have the neck band model and wish I would have just gotten the normal ones.
If you dont want over the ear, check the NACRE QuietPro on ebay. Can get a used military pair for about $200. Instead of cutting off all sound like the Sordins they will just clip the loud portion of it allowing you to still hold a normal conversation and hear everything.
Pretty stellar piece of equipment.
Hearing loss is permanent, Ill take the good stuff.
