77 or 80 if you can find them. 80's wont load from a magazine. And I would be really wary of shot placement.

Agreed, but can't help thinking it would be fun.

Harvest

I'm sorry to take this out in you but it ok to say the word "kill".

From wiki definitions
quote:

Harvest is the process of gathering mature crops from the fields. Reaping is the cutting of grain or pulse for harvest, typically using a scythe, sickle, or reaper.[1] The harvest marks the end of the growing season, or the growing cycle for a particular crop

Unless you are Canadian indian then all is forgiven
quote:

Harvesting or Domestic Harvesting in Canada refers to hunting, fishing and plant gathering by First Nations, Métis and Inuit in discussions of aboriginal or treaty rights. For example, in the Gwich'in Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement, "Harvesting means gathering, hunting, trapping or fishing..."[2] Similarly, in the Tlicho Land Claim and Self Government Agreement "'Harvesting' means, in relation to wildlife, hunting, trapping or fishing and, in relation to plants or trees, gathering or cutting."[3]

I've taken many many deer with AR15/M16, but need more info before I'll make any recommendations.
-Anticipated distance
-Size of deer
-Environment (Brush or open)

5.56 is a very effective round on deer, but within definite limiting parameters.
