Time for a new trolling motor. Anyone use the minn kota riptide I-pilot? This would be going on an 18.5' bay boat.

I have it. It's awesome. I really can't see how anyone would regret going with I-pilot

ETA: The anchor button is the feature I use most often. It's nice while fishing deep reefs or channels where the talon won't reach. I have the 36 volt iPilot and I have zero complaints so far.

Love mine. I use the anchor lock and compass guide the most. You can point it toward a heading and it adjusts for wind or current.

How well does it work if you're in a bay near a rig trying to cast for specs? I hate trying to keep my spot while being pushed around. Stop paying attention for 10 seconds and you're in the rig.

Not a MK fan, but it's a bad mofo. Buddy has one, took it out to snapper fish over a wreck, very nice.

I messaged the guy on THT and it wasn't that much of a discount. Will probably just get it locally or from cabelas or bps.

I have one... 24V... It's awesome. The only drawback is that there is a learning curve on it, so I almost never let my friends take the remote.
Anchor feature is incredible. I haven't taken the real anchor out since I installed the i-pilot.
