Sometime Tuesday night a pair of thugs hit my neighborhood. At least 10 vehicles broken into. Mine was one. Got away with my XDM-9mm. Luckily, I guess they missed the LCR in the back seat.

As mad as I was about it, I made peace with it eventually. I was the one that left it in my truck, after all.

Then I get home to mow and realize my weed eater was gone from my garage. Apparently they opened my garage with the clicker in my truck. Morons could've gotten away with a lot more valuable things than the weed eater.

Now, knowing that they were in my garage, steps away from me and my wife who were asleep, enrages me. Needless to say, I didn't sleep much last night

I'm sure this goes without saying, but you did change the code on your garage door opener right?

I know the feeling. Heroin addict pieces of shite hit my neighborhood in Galvez about every other month. I fortunately had only left my costas in there.

I never understand why people keeps firearms in their vehicles over night. They've hit multiple people down our road a few times in the last month. Some of them don't even lock their fricking doors with $500 guns just sitting in the open over night.

Like I said, I made peace with losing the gun. My mistake, won't happen again. I suppose it's a good lesson to learn

What I can't understand is what prompted these 2 individuals to decide to walk all over our neighborhood and break into any vehicles they could and steal shite? That, to me, is just low. It's disgusting

Unfortunately it's the sad world we live in today. Times have changed in the last 20 years and it's not gonna get any better.

cause carrying a gun in and out daily is not very realistic. My gun isn't out in the open in truck but to hell with taking in and out in and out in and out in and out in and out.

I'm pretty sure everyone that's ever been around guns knows someone who had a gun stolen out of their vehicle

It's very common lately. They are just pieces of trash that are too scared to actually break in a house, but are thug enough to steal change from cup holders. It's easy pickings for them. They like to target nicer neighborhoods because people feel safe and often leave doors unlocked.

I caught some thugs doing the same thing in my neighborhood. Best thing to do is make sure you are all locked up at night, get a camera system, and don't leave stuff in your truck.

This is the lovely dindu that had my neighbors purse walking through my yard.

Did you report it stolen and give the serial number to state police? Would hate for a crime to be committed with it an it fall back in your name.

and to further add, carrying my gun in and out all the time of my vehicles will cause my kids to notice and be aware of said guns. I have a near 7 and a 5 yr old, they are clueless of my gun in my truck, i'm not jeopardizing their life and causing awareness and dangerous situations of always moving guns around around them bc of a $500 gun value possibly being stolen.

I'd sit and wait with that LCR for them to come back.

Yet it keeps happening. Perpetuating the nuisance that is stolen property out of unlocked cars. Learn from others mistakes.
