I closed on my new house today and in the shop the previous owner had this jib crane, it stayed with the house but I have no idea what I would do with it. I'm not trying to sell it here but just wanted to know if there are people who would purchase something like this. I don't have to get rid of it but I am not quite sure what I would do with it if I keep it. TIA

That is sweet. I would never sell it, there are tons of things to use it for. Skinning deer, removing motors from car or boat, lift atv's for repair, etc.

Only a fool would get rid of a crane. Are you a fool?

Possibly

I will probably end up killing my self with this thing, plus I was thinking of trading it for something I would use more. Skinning deer with it is out of the question its and hour from the camp, and I'll just skin them out there.

and would be great to hang your boat on while you work on the trailer.

You have a big shop. You're outdoorsy. Is it safe to assume you own large things that could be lifted with a jib: (lawn mower/reactor, atv, boat/motor, truck, big butt woman?). Keep it! It's like finding a woman with three tits. She doesn't need the extra tit but you never know when you'll use it. And you'll be glad it's there when you do.

That didn't stay, the guy took it because he was going to give it to his son. If I keep it I'll have to buy one.

Yes. You can get rid of it fairly easy imo.
