I am with you. Scouted Friday and found a arse load of Green in a classified location in NE LA. Went back Sat morning with no wind and the birds lit 150 yards wide every group....
We did kill a few but the epic buildup I had in my dreams was nothing short of a fantasy.
On top of that, like a dumb frick I put my cell phone in my wader pocket and then jumped out of the boat to chase a cripple and ruined my phone.

Mediocre at best.

Hunted Tuesday and Saturday on LDP, 24 on Tues by 8am, 30 on Saturday. Pretty nice ducks, although we had some guys that smoked a PILE of Smallards lol.

Terrible.
First trips of the year, marsh was bad, fields were bad. Geese errywhere, shot specks in field, but that was it.

Best first split in Venice since pre Katrina. Sat and Sun 18 birds in under an hour, all big ducks no teal. Still hammering the fish.

she killed a teal saturday and i killed a few, the ducks are gone for a while, but we should be getting bigguns soon, my buddies just north of us have started killing mallards, so its any day now.
slept in sunday, my partners didnt kill much.

Seriously though, spent two days down there, and I am not sure there are more specks, but the damn snows are out of control.

Thursday: Pecan Island. Boat broke down and we ended up in blind without decoys. 9 birds
Friday: Pecan Island near White lake. the best hunt of my life. Limits of teal and I saw more birds than I've ever seen before.
Saturday: Dulac: Didn't fire a shot. The water in my pond was gone, We didn't see a bird

Worst season for me ever. Stayed in blind till 1045 and maybe saw 30 ducks. Lafourche and Terrebonne have been horrific for me.
