Anybody have any food ideas on how to cook large whole flounder. It is to big to fry in a skillet. Any can't miss bake or broil ideas. Going to pan fry some trout fillers and maybe broil some but don't know what to do with the flounder. Around 4 pounds live weight if that helps.

This is the how you do it. I've stuffed with the recipe above and also with a seafood cornbread stuffing. All good.

I stuff em like this. I filet the middle bone out and leave the two flaps so there no bone on the flounder.
Then I sautéed garlic and onion in butter with shrimp. Sprinkle cheese on bottom, spoon in some shrimp, cheese on that, close and bake.

They ones that I've had the chance to cook (less than 5) I made a flounder pocket and make a stuffing.
Saute white onions and bell pepper in butter.
After they're tender add some green onions, chopped up shrimp, crabmeat. Season with tony's or konriko.
Then add white white and some italian bread crumbs.
Add stuffing to the pocket, set it on a baking sheet with aluminum foil and drizzle some oil on the top. Cook at 350.
