Yes. Carb is not working correctly. You're going to end up filling the crank with gasoline.

I had the same problem with my 2006 Rancher 350. Drained the tank, mixed a 1:1 seafoam and let it sit in the carb. Cranks up and runs fine now. I bought a new carb for it anyway and gonna replace it this weekend hopefully.

How much benefit do you think you got from replacing the hoses? I dont feel like doing that

HA! That was after I flushed the carb.....

After the seafoam was sitting in the carb for 3 days I went to crank it up.... Wouldn't turn over..... Couldn't for the life of me figure out what was wrong. Changed spark plug and everything... 3 days later, my FIL and I came home after one too many beers and he said "Here's your problem! The kill switch is flipped!" He flipped it to 'run' and the damn thing crunked right up.

Needless to say, it was not one of my proudest moments

The line at the bottom is an overflow drain for the carb bowl. The other end of it is not connected to anything. There is a screw in the bottom of the bowl. It runs perpendicular to the vent. Make sure it is fully closed or you will leak fuel from the overflow. That s your drain screw for the bowl.

Don't feel bad. I had to get towed in on a jet ski once because I didn't know it had a kill switch. It just kept turning over until the battery went dead. My buddy jumped it, and it started up first try

Is this a concern? In a rush this morning I secured the leaking hose upward and clamped a vice grip on it with a rag over it. I also shut the gas off at the petcock valve but I'm not sure if that still works 100%

Mine is doing the same thing. Always ran strong but left it sitting at the camp for a few months and now it wont idle. Runs fine other than a little sputtering when first cranking it. If I let off the gas it dies.

Ive felt the carb was the issue from the beginning but I just keep gassing the frick out of the throttle and ignore fixing it

Just run a little seafoam thru it baw. Should fix you up right. If not, change the carb.

Put a full bottle in it the other day.

Its a bitch going through gates and slowly crossing wash outs. Hold the brake with one hand and throttle with the other

I rebuilt the carb on my lawn mower last year and was putting it back together, i couldnt get the bowl back on for anything. Worked with it for about an hour before i called my FIL. He drove over to my house, walked in the garage, flipped the carb flap around, screwed it in, then left without saying a word.

You want to talk about feeling stupid?

If it's still just running gas out of the bowl through the overflow line when you open your fuel valve back up then your float is stuck in the down position and it thinks there is no fuel in the carb so that's why it keeps on running. If you leave it like this it'll never run right and if you forget to turn your gas off it'll fill the crankcase and cylinders full of gas and hydrolock your engine. In that case you have to drain all the oil and change it to get the engine to free up. If you don't it will be super hard to turn over and you'll probably bend a valve trying to start it.

Best thing to do is get some carb cleaner, take to bowl off and clean the float and the pin that holds it in place very well. After you clean it wiggle it up and down and make sure it feels free. (It should almost feel loose) Also while you're in there clean the main jet thoroughly. (It's the round piece of brass that has a slotted spot for a flathead screwdriver in the middle of the carb where the float has an opening) If this doesn't fix your problem then you've got a vacuum leak or an ignition problem somewhere else.

The orange piece is the float and the piece in his had is the main jet. The threads just under his thumb are where it should go/be.
