Went to my tire shop to get some prices and here is what i came away with

toyo open country mt: 1780
kumho road venture mt: 1550
cooper mud claws mt: 1250

all prices include mount/balance, tax, and alignment in size 35x12.50x20

i currently have the toyos, and i like them well enough, they have good grip, and have lasted about 45,000 miles.

so which tires would you choose?

If you're doing a lot of highway driving, all terrains will last much longer.

But I understand the appeal of wanting aggressive mudders. Looks a lot meaner.

I just leveled my truck and put new rubber on it - if you have a little time you may want to look at this [link=(www.treaddepot.com)]TIRE[/link]shop and compare - I was able to save about $400 installed, I am a cooper fan these are the Cooper ST Maxx..

They suck in the mud

Look at MTZs also. Wear well, not loud, siped good, good for churning, and have lateral stability in the mud.

The ATZ has very similar characteristics, but isn't as good in the mud (still much better than most all terrains)

Mine at cost were like $1450, so they would probably be $1850 mounted and balanced normally

Damn my brother just paid $2400 for 35x12.50x18 plus a front end alignment. That is a pretty cheap price on those tires if it includes mount/balance/tax

I will be getting a set of Toyo AT-II's in 295/65R20 soon for my F-250

Check out your local Ford dealership. Got my new tires from them and they were much cheaper than any tire shops in the area and that's including RoadForce balancing and road hazard. Their Ford Tire Program is pretty nice.

Yea I got a sweet leveling kit, haha. I Think I'll probably just stick with the toyos, it is a pretty good deal on them

I've actually heard from a lot of people that mud tires last longer on heavy trucks. I've seen people only getting around 25,000 out of toyo a/t tires. Of course I don't know how these people rotated or drove so that could be most of the issue

Has anybody even heard of those mud crawlers? They are some off brand of cooper. Not many reviews out there for them. The tire salesman is really pushing them so I assume that he is able to mark them up more than the toyos.
