Not sure if on the correct board, but does anyone know of helicopter tours here in BR or within 2 hours of BR? Looking for something that'll last about an hour but I'll even take 30 mins, 45 min, 1 hour- open to suggestions. It'd be a surprise. Not looking for to spend an arm and a leg for this and not many sites give a price estimation. Thank you.

Helicopters Above Baton Rouge

See if this helps. I just Googld it. Not sure if their legit. Says they'll do yours at 15 minutes up to 2 hours.

If you do it, give us some feedback. I may take one myself.

Was trying to avoid NOLA area since he hates it so much. From below atleast. I'm sure he'd enjoy anywhere from a chopper tho.

When you inquire ask what kind of helicopter they have, if it is a Robinson R44 I would go somewhere else, just my opinion. You really want a turbine powered copter like Bell, Hughes, Sikorsky, or several of the European manufacturers. Also if it is turbine copter there is a 99% chance the pilot will be ex-military which is another plus.

"Robinson R22s and R44s have the highest rates of accidents–88 percent–caused by pilot error among introductory helicopter models, according to the NTSB."
"The FAA issued a related Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin–SW-13-11–on Dec. 26, 2012 and the NTSB, noting fuel tank breaches in several R44 crashes and resultant post-crash fires, is recommending the agency to mandate installation of bladder tanks in R44s (A-14-001, Jan. 15, 2014). The NTSB noted that several R44 crashes would have been survivable had the occupants not succumbed to “thermal injuries” triggered by breaches in the aircraft’s aluminum fuel tanks."
