Heads Up To Anyone Heading to Lower Lafourche

308 is closed in Valentine..... near the old Paper Mill and Valentine Chemical. A small bridge crossing a draining ditch has cracked pilons and needs to be replaced. It will not reopen till the bridge is replaced.

Wanted to bump this.....
Theres an accident on LA1 right below Lockport and LA1 AND 308 ARE CLOSED. If you headed to Lower Lafourche/Fourchon/Grand Isle this AM you have to go through Houma-Bourg-Larose route.

Heading down in the morning, assuming accident and all is cleared, didn't know about the 308 closure though.
So stay on 90 and cross to 1 or just cross any bridge from 308 to 1 before I hit Valentine?

It was like that this weekend. I found out the hard way at 5:30am saturday morning on my way fishing. A worker at the plant was nice enough to let us through behind a cane truck.

There is a bridge on 308 right after you past Lockport. It will have a detour sign, take that bridge and cross over to Hwy. 1.
