question of the day,

what do you carry with you to affix your tag to the deer?

I usually have a can of those dirt scent wafers with me. They have a few of those big safety pins in the can that will stick right through an ear. Thats my back up if I forget my zip tie.

Saw 6 deer, almost had a shot on two. 40 yards, shouldered my 45-70, lost em in the thicket. :(
On a side note, if I didn't see 200 ducks I didn't see one.

Good day despite no shot taken.

damn, son. that's a lot of deer to see in one day on the sherb. i think i've spent 10-15 hunts there and never seen a deer except when scouting.
