What is best hull to run a GT 37EFI on? Torn between GT and Havoc. Will hunt timber, marsh, and open water. Enjoy frogging and fishing from North La to Venice.

You’re going to wish you had a v shaped hull in the timber. I don’t care for them as I spend most of my time in the marsh.

I have a 1754 gator tail extreme with a v rake and pointed bow. The guy I bought it from built it for the timber but I hunt and fish with it in the marsh and am very happy with it

Agreed. That little v will ride better in the open water and you want that pointed bow for timber.

The gt is a thicker hull that will help in the timber.

The havoc haul is extruded metal vs gt is a sheet of aluminum.

Definitely going V/modified V on bow. These havoc's are fine but seem one dimensional and narrow on the inside. Like the open plan of GT hull. Crap shouldn't so difficult picking out a mud boat hull. Daddy needs a new pair of shoes.

I have a Havoc DBST but my buddy that is in our club has the MST. He runs a MB Black Death 5500 on his and that thing will turn on a dime.

I hear ya. Hard to find one boat to do it all. I got the 18x54 and added a center console and power pole. It’s as close to multi purpose as I could get

You ought to check out prodigy boats in Georgia. Bad arse looking boats. I’m pretty sure the quality is there too but I have no first hand experience. Either way the site is cool to look at to get ideas on hulls for a custom build. I personally like the catwalks with leds under them.

Prodigy makes a fine rig. Probably the best out there. Oh Face has one

Prodigy makes a nice hull but if you're expecting any kind of speed you'll need atleast a delta level 3.. They are tanks.. 25+ for a duck/marsh boat is pure insanity-

Prodigy are fine but outside my budget. Was talking to a guy today who had a customer drop 44k on a fully rigged prodigy.

It's kind of humorous how many of them you see for sale that are less than a year old.. People pay 25+ for them because it's a "Prodigy" then can't afford the note and have to dump them.. I went with a custom build from a guy out of Morgan City and have been overly pleased with it in the year and a half I've had it.. Stock motor other than exhaust and it'll run 32.5-33 with me, cooler of beer and the pup in the right conditions.. Can't complain
