What's wrong with your leg, exactly?

You broke your leg or something? Need a backstory brah. For all we know, you could've severed it trying to jump the Grand Canyon on your Rancher 250

Don't be so dramatic. You're gonna heal up real quick and be huntin in no time.
As long as you can shoulder a gun, you can hunt.
Chin up!

Talked to one of my orthopedist friends the other day and was saying how hunting season always ramps up the injuries for outdoorsmen.

Sorry that you'll miss the season. Take care of the leg

Completely broke my fibula and shifted it to one side. They have to go in and put a plate and some screws .. Doctor said 6_8 weeks on crutches ...10 -12 weeks before I'll be walking normal .. by all means I will do my best to climb my broke arse into a stand one way or another ...just a lil bummed and pissed .. got good meds though lol

Had to have knee surgery one year right at Thanksgiving. Was supposed to be on crutches through the end of January.

Got cabin fever and had my Dad drive me close to our duck hole where I set up with a lawn chair and a twelve gauge. Got a few passing shots in before I fell over in the chair.

The last day of muzzleloader season I pulled myself into a stand and shot the first doe that came out. Things you cannot do: follow a blood trail on crutches while carrying a muzzleloader with no sling.

I ended up having to have another knee surgery a few years later.

Good luck. I hunted one year out of a truck (parked in the woods) because of a similar thing. I think I killed 4 or 5 deer. The only bad part is having to ask someone to drag and skin the things. I try to help people every chance I get for instances like that.

Every camp needs a crazy old bastard that limps around. Why you think God gave you two bones in that part of your leg.....a spare, that's why.

Now get out there and drink some bad whiskey(the crazy dude at the camp usually smells of bad whiskey)

Best of luck.

It will hurt like heck, but that ain't a weight bearing bone. Get a ground blind, I hunt with my kids in them and we wreck $#@! out of them. I'm sure you'll find a way, but for a fibula, I'd be out there in a few weeks, for sure.

Quick story for ya.. 3 yrs ago my buddy fell 20 ft from deerstand week before cmas. shattered leg.. after 7 months it still wasnt healing, it was first of august and still has infection. Dr said we have 2 options
1. Take bone graft, it has like 50% chance of taking, if it does it will be 10-12 months before you know and before your on your feet
2. amputate below knee, and you are on your feet "foot" in 3-4 weeks.

He took option 2 because dove season was 3 weeks away and he wasnt missn huntn season again. Was in the dove field sept 1 shootn dove with us and a month later got his prostetic, and no one can even tell he is missn one leg now.
