Yes, some Florida peeps shouldn't be allowed to own a boat.

Am I missing something? With the exception of the jet ski and the little boat that looks like it almost died, nobody being crazy or terribly irresponsible.

ditto.
I'm only 4 minutes into the 10 minute video, though.
Do we have a close call?

The first boat, the smaller center console, entered the inlet exactly like he's supposed to. He put his bow into the wave in front of him and rode in on the back of the swell.

Edit: just got to the 4:30 mark: the jet ski submarine was good.

man, the current through there is pretty damn nasty. I could see where someone who is a dumbass or in an underpowered boat could get in a bind pretty quickly.

I know the one you are referring to. Just south of Manalapan. When the tide is going out it looks scary just driving over it on the bridge.

Ive seen some carnage going in and out of Jupiter inlet. Coming back in during a kingfish tournament we witnessed a couple big boats bottom out due to the inlet being somewhat shallow, and a 15ft swell at there back. Scary shite!

That was not that bad at all.

You really should bring a lawn chair and beer to camp out at Freds by the Amite River if you want to see some truly dumb people with boats.

Would love to see that sailboat trying to make it through.

Yup. The wild thing is that current flows just as strong going in as it does going out. So you can fight it both ways on the same day.
