I still have my 2011 F150 Ecoboost, but will need a new truck next year. I don't think I want to pay $45k plus for a truck. So who's done it?

Just picked up '15 Silverado LT Crewcab loaded except for leather with the 5.3V8 for 35k, it was 10k off the sticker... I looked at Colorados and Canyons but the full size Silverado was just 1K more....

Keep looking around.... Especially moving into August and Sept before the '16s come out, they'll be looking to get rid of the '15s fast..

I went back to a Dakota from a Ram back in the day. I still have a full sized truck and two Dakotas so I'm good.

I don't know about downsizing, but I went from a 1998 Chevy 1500 to a 2015 Tacoma 4x4. The size is about the same, it tow my 19ft Avenger great.

No 2wd... I looked at the Z's but they were all between 48 and 54... Couldn't pass up the deal on this truck... Besides, it's amazing how much space difference between the Colorados and Silverados...

Have a silverado, and thought about getting a taco. But went on a fishing trip a couple of weeks ago with a buddy who just bought a loaded 4wd taco. And everytime I got in the passenger side, I hit my head. I'm 6'1", so that ain't happening.

OK so don't. Unless you're dead set on lots of bells and whistles, a 4x4 extended cab f150 can be had for under $35k easily. I think even under $30k is doable.

I downsized to a short bed normal cab in '90 and have never looked back.

Been thinking about a taco, but they're almost the same damn price as a full sized. What's the towing capacity with these things?

Downsized in 08' from a long bed F-150 to a double cab 4x4 Tacoma and have never looked back.
Recently traded the Taco on a Colorado and loving it even more.
Was slightly tempted with the discounts on the Silverado and Sierra's but a double cab 4x4 "rado for 33K kept 7K in my pockets and gets me 25 on the hwy, something neither of the other two could do rolling downhill.
Tow capacity of 7,000 lbs with the V-6.

Ya.... I'm sticking with the midsize and happy as a pig in slop.

The tacomas get basically the same mpg as a full size. Tow less, have far less room inside and bed, and costs about the same as full size. Why in the flying Frick someone would buy one I'll never know. Oh yeah and they don't ride nearly as smooth

I did in 07 bc I wanted a manual transmixer and a few other reasons. But when kids appeared I bought an older f250 bc they don't fit in the Tacoma, extra cab it is.

Tacoma 4x4 double-cab v6. = 19/23mpg
Price = 29k
Towing = 6500

Please show me A full 4x4 truck that compares.
