Was going to order a ZT HD with a Kawasaki engine. Dealer called and offered me a Pro Turn with a Kohler for the same price. Had mine set on a kawasaki but not sure about Kohler. Any advice?

The transmission on the pro turn a ZT series which is a lot better transmission. This is an easy one and no brainer! You will go faster with this unit look at the specifications!

HD Has an EZT which is a residential lighter duty transmission. This unit similar to buying a unit at a homecenter it is not a prosumer product.

Guess what the engines are a step up on the HD also!

If you guys are hung up on engines stop it.
The transmission is what cost more.
Kohler versus KW is basically tit for tat if you compare the same series.

That's why I need someone to honestly tell me because I don't know shite when it comes to this stuff. I just don't want to get screwed or someone tell me that is not the truth.

So pro turn at 5,099 a good deal?

same deck size? Pro-turn has a double sized gas tank, ROPS, and as mentioned the next size up transmission. I'd say that is a pretty good deal if he's offering the Pro-Turn for the ZT HD price.

It is a fair price.
Kind of like buying a new vehicle. You can always find a better deal.

Is it worth your time when you got a fair deal?

You got a dealer that hopefully you fell confident that can service you.

I'm sure you will be happy with it. I got a 60" ZT HD a couple of months ago. It's a freakin beast, love it.

Yeah I got it mixed up with smaller unit.

HD I believe has the 3100 8 mph and around 3 to 4 backing up still smaller than pro turns transmission.

Proturn trans is the ZT 3200 series is 9 mph and 5 backing up.

Gravely overpriced for the options you get as other brands with same trans and engine around $500 less. Quality is decent not the best or the worst. You can get parts easier and go back a few years to get parts down the road which is worth paying $500 to $700 more upfront.

Some companies after 4 to 5 yrs like badboy good luck getting parts from your distributor or badboy. That why I dropped that line and pulleys were a nightmare. I still service them under contract I just would not sell it knowing that in a few years I have to go to secondary suppliers to get off brand part for it.
