Who ya got? I plan on taking out the granite we have in now and replacing it with a color that we like better. It will be the counter tops only, i plan to do the back splash myself. Are prices still sky high due to the flood? This is for the kitchen btw.

American Granite off Florida.

I am not sure about the prices being higher, but the schedule for the installers is probably way backed up due to the flood.

What about concrete counter tops? We have thought about going this route as well. Could i find someone to do this or will they be super backed up as well?

Used to work at Tuscan Stone, go check their stock and see what you want. If I still lived in BR, I would have either Michael Paul on Airline or Assured Flooring on Siegen doing mine.

The local guys that are good are all backed up. We have gone out of town to get a reputable granite shop that can handle our work in a timely fashion. I'm getting it in 3-5 weeks sometimes 4 depending on what they select. I hear local shops are 8-10 weeks. If you have granite already I would just wait 6 months or so and see if things loosen up
