Grand isle surf fishing

Bringing my nephew fish in the surf in the morning to see if we can't catch a few trout. Where would y'all head? The island (where?)or do I go to elmers instead ?

Winds should be lite out ofthe west. I'd fish Elmers. Work down the beach throwing topwater, plastics. They should be in the first sand bar early.
