Gotta have my 10 year old dog put down today. He has a mass in his throat causing him to labor pretty hard to breathe. He's been my sidekick for a decade. We always want more time with em no matter how old or sick they are. Gonna give him a steak this morning then head to vet. Gosh dam this sucks

Sorry to hear that, man. Worst part about owning a dog. Still makes me tear up thinking about the last one we put down. Just remember it's for the best and think back on the good times he had.

Sorry for your loss. I had to put mine down last year and it was the toughest decision I've ever made. I was looking through pictures recently and could tell where he began to decline the last few months of life. This made me realize he's in a much better place feeling no pain. When the time is right get you another pup to share that love with. I'm picking mine up today from my boarder because I've been on vacation and can't wait to see him. They are truly mans best friend.

I've got one going down. Grade 6 heart murmur. I've maxed out the lasix and other drugs but I can hear the wheezing occuring more and more. Hopefully she makes it to Labor Day but Christmas is not looking good. Still as rambunctious as ever.

Really appreciate it fellas. He got some bacon and a steak this morning. First time he would eat anything in 3 days. Everything went good at the vet. He's not suffering anymore.
RIP Hagen!!

My boy Rudy just made a new pal in Hagen. I'd like to think they are chasing down mailmen that are made of delicious ham.

Sorry for your loss. Things will get better. Just remember the good times.

Man hate to hear that. Hang in there.

I don't know why turtles live like 100 years, and dogs 10-15. That's something I'll never comprehend. But I guess that's not my role in this world. But they sure can make an impact on our lives in such a short time.

Lost my 15 year old lab last fall, he went while laying in my lap. My 10 yr old black lab was at his side and the chocolate pup was also. Was very tough weekend for us. Having the other two helped but was still really hard. Always remember the good times and know he's in a better place.

Man, I am sorry to hear about your pup...sounds like it was time and you did the right thing, though.

I read this thread as I watch my (almost) 2 year old lab run around the back yard. My heart hurts for you and I'm very sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how I'm going to feel when that day comes for me
