Finally, got out to shoot today. Been a while, A little chilly. Also found out they are going to build 100 home subdivision adjacent to where we have the range. Wont have to shut it down, but will have to be even more careful when they star putting houses up.

Anyways, here are some targets. I just got my smackthesmiley targets in on friday so it was good timing. Everyone should get in on this little competition. Its pretty challenging. Not as much as a dot drill, but challenging on fundamentals.

This was my CZ 452 American Left hand in 22 lr. Shot at 50 yds per the rules of the competition. 3 shot group was in the .100" range, maybe a little less.

This was the custom 260 at 100 yds. 3 shot group wasnt as impressive, it was the last shots of the day and I kind of rushed it. Still was in the .43" range.

Also shot the ballistic advantage barrel I just got for my AR, it should be a great barrel. Put around 50rds through it, looked promising with black hills 77smk. Ill have to load some ammo and see how it does. The Silencerco Saker Brake is freaking amazing on the AR. Gun does not move.

Maybe with a rifle, pistols are a different game.

Charles Askins, Jr. advised to approach pistol shooting as one would approaching shooting a shotgun, as the front sight is always moving to some degree.

Looks good, I'm running a saker brake on my 260. Not as good as my old brake, but it doesn't have a lot recoil to begin with. Hopefully, when the suppressor come it'll be even less. I can tell you if you watch the snipershide videos it will help a lot with fundamentals.

Stiller Tac30
Rock barrel, threaded with saker brake now
Manners T3 w/ CDI bottom metal
Timney trigger
Bushnell HDMR w/seekins rings
Tab sling
Atlas bipod

Load is currently:
Remington brass
Federal match primers
142 sierra
42.9 gr H4350
2.83 oal
Its a little slow for a 260, I'm going to try and speed it up a bit. Its just very accurate.

Sounds like you put a lot of thought into the gun. I tried a few loads w/ 4350 in my XP-100 260 Rem but was disappointed w/ the velocity. I ended up 39.0 gr of Reloder 15 w/ a 120 gr Rem CL bullet on an AR doe a few weeks ago.

Only thing I would change is the barrel co tour. It's a M24 contour, I'd go to a remington varmint/sendero contour. That's about as heavy as I need.

The load is good, it's easy on brass which is good since the remington brass is non existent. Haven't yet decided to jump to lapua brass yet.

Yeah, that's a bummer. I had to used necked up 243 W/W brass for my gun. Been waiting for 2 yrs for Rem 221 Rem Fireball brass and 1 1/2 yrs for W/W or Rem 7-0 Rem brass and STILL don't have any....
