Shot him at our ranch (high fenced for the haters) in Tilden, tx. I think he looks pretty good.

If any Houston area OBers are looking for a taxidermist, David Major of Major Creations in Cypress does quality work.

I haven't scored him yet

I'm gonna put a tape to him this evening hopefully. I'd guess right around 170" non-typical.

Better have a place picked out to put it, that thing had some serious volume to it.

stud man.. awesome deer.. couple questions just because im curious.

How many acres is your ranch?
How many members are in it?
Did yall fence it yourself?
Did you bring deer on or just hung what was already there?
what are your killing restrictions there? Bow only, 140" or better? etc.. and how many bucks taken a year

not hating at all, just curious how you guys do in the club/ranch

High fence. Anything can be bought and tossed in to mount later

Nice mount though

And those butterfly mounts are fabulous

I ask only because you mention it and I'm curious, was the hole in the deers left ear from an ear tag or a battle scar? I've seen a few deer farms where the ear tags are used.

Nice looking deer...

600 acres high fenced and a little over 100 low fenced adjacent we bought later

Just my dad, brother and I plus family and friends (and anyone that takes us duck hunting)

We bought the place in 1999, fenced it in 04 I believe

We have never brought in outside genetics

Our management program is pretty simple, 8 pts or better at 2.5, 10+ at 3.5 and then at 4.5 its a judgement call. We aren't set up for bow hunting unfortunately, but that should come in the future. We shoot 10-20 does a year and really just depends on how many bucks need to be shot.

I could take about the ranch all day

Battle scar, we don't tag any deer
