I just bought a GoPro Hero 4 Silver, and will be mounting it to my Franchi shotgun. What settings would allow me to get the best footage? I was going to set it up on 1080 at 60 fps. with medium or narrow FOV. Would these be the best settings? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Hope I didn't bite off more than I can chew with this camera.

Yea, I thought about it after but I should've asked what settings (if different) for when I clamp it to the center console bar of boat to video my 75 y/o mother catching redfish. Turkey season ends today. I have all year to figure that out. I guess I'll just play around with it. Was trying to save some aggravation if you know what I mean.

the best thing to do with the go pro while turkey hunting is to put it on the ground near the decoys.

What brother said, unless they are real close and the best place to have it on a boat is where it's portable.. Always shoot in the best definition you can afford (battery, memory) and I like it wide, I can crop in later!

Thanks for the Polar props!

Yes, the silver has the screen on the back. I don't think you can playback on it but you can see what you're recording. It might have playback but I haven't gotten that far yet.

I've found that the older birds do not like decoys. At least not where I hunt. I found that out the hard way this year.

I can't stand the thought of something shining when I'm turkey hunting. I wouldn't use one for that.

They make a black out case now too. You can also turn the red led off.
