Just came across a chance to get a free Black Lab mix puppy and I think I'm going to get her. I'm in college so I'm not trying to break the bank either. (Will post pics when I go see it in person)
Thanks fellas

For shots, any vet will do. With that said, go to Associated Vet Services. They are cheap, which is what you need when you are just getting shots. If you want quality, go to Sherwood South.

Hey bapple,

There used to be a vet at AVS named Dr. Wendy Day. Is she at Sherwood South now? I called AVS a couple of months ago to make an appt. with her and one of the vets on staff at AVS stated that she works at Sherwood South now. I looked on their webpage, but she isn't listed as being a vet there. Dr. Day is top notch and would like to continue using her.

I use Armstrong on Highland. Super friendly guy and less than a minute from my home.

Like everyone else said shots are pretty standard and any of them can do that.

Not sure of your exact location, but I use Dutchtown Animal Hospital and have been very happy with them.

Didn't you used to be closely associated with vet place on Bluebonnet by the Cadillac???

Were we in same bass club at one time?

We used to use All Pets on Perkins, I no longer recommend. Now we use Dr. Waguespack at Siegen Lane Animal Clinic. He is the only Dr. there, small place. He is great, straight shooter, doesn't treat things that don't need to be treated, and just tells it like it is. Old school guy, I highly recommend.

We do shots ourselves. 8 bucks a piece.

We use a vet in New roads even though she is 40 miles away. Mckaskil is the office, but we use the lady. Visits are 12$, rabies 16$, and so on. She itemizes everything. Her meds are reasonable as well.

Well worth the quick drive to us.

This.

Shots are easy, I wouldn't go there for anything serious though.
