not looking pretty for the middle coast
been since Carla I think that they had a bad one like this is looking

I'm afraid it's gonna be doomsday for my camp/boat/truck down there...
I have a brother in palacios who's going to hunker down but he's smart enough to stay safe
good friends in magnolia beach too who are in the bullseye

I sure hope when we wake up tomorrow a miracle has happened

It's been a really long time, but I remember driving through the aftermath of Carla. It wasn't pretty unless you liked water. Best of the best to anyone in the area of touch down.

Thanks bro. Looking at the forecast and it is going to be a strong storm. We are riding it out in Rosenberg. We shall see what comes...

Its weird over here. On our neighborhood FB page so many people have never experienced a hurricane. They are freaking out. Schools arw xlpswd tomorrow and Monday so far. I'm SW of Houston towards Victoria so we are expecting 20" or so of rain.

We have a project starting up in Corpus. I was down there the past couple of days and drove back home yesterday. Had to evacuate our guys yesterday afternoon further north. Gonna get bad down there. Hope everyone does the right thing and gets out of there.

yep, i'd advise anyone near that coast to get out. Not one to ride out. You are talking power outages for several days possibly weeks. Especially because of the sheer coverage size that crews will need to work on and thats after the water subsides.

looking worse by the hour...
this has the potential to be a clock re-set on the middle coast

at this point i'm resigned to losing the camp and the boat, i just hope theres something to go back to
