And he does this every year. I would put him up against any professional fisherman in Big Lake.

sorry about the sideways picture.

Great fish. Also, that is probably the first time I've see. Someone hoist a fish in their living room.

Nah he caught it on Thursday. He's caught three 7 pound trout this year and does it routinely.

Haha Deacon it was dark when he got in so he wanted a pic in the light. His little lady was none too amuzed.

Great fish!

Did this guy keep those 3 over 7lbs that he caught too?

He seems to be a successful enough fishermen that he'd easily catch another fish to make up for letting this one go. I know keeping them that size is legal, but keeping those bigger fillets is also keeping more fillets from being conceived and produced. If you are keeping BC you are a sustenance fisherman, in a tournament, or skin mount if they even still do those than fine, if not why take something in its reproductive prime out of the equation?

I know it's not a popular stance with LA meat fisherman, but it's my opinion.

Not legit unless "W" comes to the thread and tells him he is full of shite and that he got lucky. Or claims he caught the fish off a wharf or something.

I don't doubt he has skills but there are some guides that fish big lake that are animals. True animals at catching fish like that. You have to be wired different to fish big lake. It will humble the shite out of you with the quickness. Nonetheless, killer fish.
