Trying to decide where to take the yak in the morning. Any reports or advice on these spots?

Don't know about hopedale, but reds on delacroix. Heard there's a few in GM as well. I'm sure either one would be good. Bindi know re waterbis high over in the hopedale side right now

Hopedale was on fire 2 and half weeks ago.

Don't forget the new Leeville launch. I've heard its a bit tricky though, with boat traffic and current.
I only know GM well. Admittedly I haven't been in 2 months, but the last time I was there, I was on trout (under birds) within 10 minutes of the public launch. Catfish Lake was a trout every 3rd or 4th cast. Reds are always in the canals, just look for water movement due to wind. Tide has just about zero influence on water movement in GM. If no water movement, move to more open water.

Leeville launch looks pretty protected for the yaks. There is a break between the launch and the bayou

Fished Leeville south of the LA 1 turnoff between the new highway and old LA 1 on Friday and had a good trip. 20+ specks
